PROSPECTUS OF THE GOLD CROWN
MINING CORPORATION
ALLEGHANY, CALIFORNIA

LOCATION
The Gold Crown Mine is located in the Alleghany Mining District, Sierra County, California, at an elevation of approximately 4,300 feet. It is about one fourth of a mile from the town of Alleghany, and thirty-nine miles North-East of Nevada City, with which, connection is made by highway, and two mountain roads, both of which pass directly through the Gold Crown Mining Property.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Gold Crown Property consists of eight claims, four fractions, and one mill site, all of which are owned by the Gold Crown Mining Corporation. The eight full claims have been surveyed for patent; the balance of the property having been added after the survey was made.

HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT
The main vein of the Gold Crown Property was located in the early days, and some rich ore was taken out, but the year was 1886 from a shallow winze, which is now closed. According to Gannett and Ferguson’s report on the Alleghany District some high-grade ore was taken, from a drift at a vertical depth of about 35 feet below the surface. Both the drift and the winze were minor workings, just enough development having been done to prove the vein to be a gold producer and to enhance the property.

Both operations were shut down because of heavy ground, which is normal in workings close to the surface, and because the operators were unable to obtain suitable pumping equipment.

During the 1920’s, a company attempted to open the vein by a crosscut at a point about 350 feet vertical, below the older workings. This crosscut was never completed, due to lack of funds and dissention of the operators. The crosscut is in very firm ground, and will eventually be used in the operation by the present management.

The recent development work consists of a tunnel a little over a hundred feet in length, in which the vein was cut but heavy ground was encountered, and it was decided to clean out and widen and old shaft on the North end of the Wonder No. 2 claim.

This was done and the shaft was sunk to a depth of 78 feet on the vein, which at this depth, consists of quartz typical of the Alleghany district.

IMPROVEMENTS AND EQUIPMENT
The improvements consist of several residences, several store houses, blacksmith shop, compressor house, hoist house, shaft house and carpenter shop.
The equipment consists of a new gardener-Denver 230 C. F. M. compressor, a new Ingersoll-Rand jack hammer, shell and column bar, sump pump, power saws for framing timber, welding equipment, drill steel and bits, hoist and blacksmithing tools. Everything needed for mining is on the property with the exception of powder, timber, and a few minor items.

GEOLOGY
The Gold Crown Property lies in the heart of Alleghany Mining District, which, as is commonly known, is one of the richest gold producing areas in the world. The famous “Original Sixteen-to-One Mine” adjoins our property immediately on the East, as does the rainbow, which is also a rich mine. The Tightner, which is now part of the Sixteen-to-One mine
